Because of our brokenness and the brokenness of others, we often find ourselves in circumstances and relationships that are experiencing crisis, conflict and corruption.  This manifests in our lives as anxiety, depression, interpersonal conflict, self-harm, thoughts of suicide, loss, grief and so on.  In the context of our suffering, the biblical picture of  one-another care shines brightest.  We call this one-another care crisis-discipleship or biblical counseling.  It is the practical action of coming alongside another to seek, hear and apply God’s Word to current circumstances and relationships.  In the midst of all suffering, we believe Jesus makes a difference and we want you to experience the difference He makes in your life.

ETC Level 1 is designed to equip followers of Christ with the ability to apply the gospel in personal and specific ways to the heart and struggles of others. We will address both the theology and practice of gospel-centered soul care/ biblical counseling. Participants will be trained to minister effectively to individuals, couples, and families using a biblical perspective. Issues such as addictions, anxiety, anger, abuse, and depression will be covered. This course is excellent for Pastors, lay counselors, small group/missional community leaders, ministry staff, and anyone wanting to learn how to better care for others. We offer two options for training: 1) Full Certification in partnership with the Association of Biblical Counselors and 2) Enrichment for students who desire all of the training and classroom collaboration without the National Certification and for a reduced tuition.  All students in the Enrichment track participate in all class activities.
